Tim Moyler

Tim is the co-author of 2 of the songs that are most popular with children. Perhaps the reason that they are so popular is that they actually were co-written with children. Tim says:

"OK, I admit it. I didn't write the songs all by myself. In fact I find it hard to write songs without the kids! Let me explain.

You are the Best (FW2) and Some Days Are Not Easy (FW3) were both written as a result of song writing workshops with the children of my own church -  Ichthus Beckenham. We would learn about how God "gives us a song" and then we would all pray and ask Him to give us a new one. We would then be quiet and wait for God to give us each something.

Somehow everyone, whatever their age, would get something. We would all quietly write down the words or draw the pictures God gave us, no matter how insignificant they may have seemed. We would then share them... and this is the fun part! Several boys and girls would get almost identical pictures or words. God was clearly giving us all different parts of the song. Later, I would stitch the words and pictures together and add the tune.
