David Cooper
Biography
Both before and since coming to Christ in 1985 (at the age of 16) David has "dabbled" in music and songwriting, finally finding an outlet when God led him to write Praise and Worship songs in late 1999/early 2000. He has a particular heart for keeping his lyrics away from P&W cliches, and a call to write songs that get to the heart of what it really means to have a life devoted to Jesus. Two of his songs, "I Will Follow" (featured here) and his modern interpretation of "Guide me O Thou great redeemer", were used by Stichting Mission (formerly TEMA) at their last European Mission Congress at New Year 2002 and (although himself based in and around his home city of Hull, England) through his online presence he has seen several of his songs picked up and used by churches in various parts of the world, including the USA and Germany.
As well as his solo worship leading, his live ministry also encompasses performance and leading worship with his band "The Reign", which includes wife Kathryn. A second CD of his songs will appear under this banner in Spring 2003.
