Who wrote it?

Luke, who wrote the Gospel ‘Luke’ also wrote Acts. He was a doctor, and one of Paul’s friends.

When was it written?

In the middle of the First Century A.D, after Jesus had gone back to heaven.

What does Acts say?

At the end of Luke’s Gospel Jesus has just been raised form the dead. Acts carries on the story.
Acts tells us lots of things Jesus’ disciples did after Jesus had returned to heaven.
The first part of Acts tells us about the Holy Spirit coming, and about the first church.
The second part of Acts is all about Paul who wrote lots of the letters in the New Testament. Acts tells us how Paul became a Christian, and about all his adventures afterwards.
