As many of you know the dog in the picture to the left is Scruffy who used to be my dog. She has sadly had to be put down due to old age and illness. She died at the age of 105 (in dog years of course). Our family had Scruffy cremated after she was put down and her ashes now are under a rose bush in the garden. We were very sad to let her go as she had been a part of our family for many years and had been a great companion and loyal dog.

Here are a few interesting facts which may keep you amused!

Try sticking your tongue out as far as it will go. Do you think you have long tongue? Well, compare your tongue with a giraffe's. A giraffe's tongue can sometimes be over a foot and half long!

There are some very strange laws in America. For example, in Milwaukee, it is against the law to take your pet elephant for a walk unless your elephant is on a lead; and in Illinois, bees are forbidden to fly over the town, though it is doubtful whether anyone has managed to stop them breaking the law!

Slugs have four noses!

Snails can sleep for 3 years!

I have had a lot of emails telling me names for my A-Z of Dogs names so check out the dog page to see if your contribution has been added! I still need names for fish and cats though. I have had a few but I have rooms for lots more!

I was sent a story by a young girl named Lucy. Here is her story about her rabbit...

I had a rabbit who I had had the joy of having for eight long years but sadly she had to be put down because she developed a tumour but I am happy that I had her for eight years of my life. I would like a cat now!

Thank you to Lucy for that story I am very sorry about your Rabbit but I hope you get a cat that you can have a happy life with

 our other viewers will enjoy them!

  Hey I am one of your fans and my name is Jennifer and the reason I am your fans is because i love animals and I want to be a vet one day I have always had A dog and once I had this really special one that cared about me because I cared for him it saved my live a few time from these two other mean dogs and one day this other female dog that was pregnant across the street from me attacked him and he got ran over by a car and I felt something special in my heart what I don't know what it is so I wonder if you could tell me what it is!!!
