Friend and supporter of FW, Graham Kendrick, is appearing on a series of BBC programmes over the next few weeks, visiting a range of different churches in the UK in the lead up to Christmas - do pray for the impact of those programmes, which are going out live.

Alongside the traditional carols that are a staple diet for church worship teams this time of year, many churches look for new Christmas songs to include in their services.
As well as the Christmas section in the FW Songwriters’ Showcase (which we’re working on updating soon by the way - it’s been a little neglected this year!), we can recommend the new Christmas category on christianbands.co.uk - you’ll spot that Peace Child is included, so you’re welcome to download it from there.

The film is coming soon, and not since Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ” have so many christians got so excited about the potential of a mainstream film release.
There are differences - this will be a family film, so has more potential for more people to see it, and of course it is allegory and fiction rather than an attempt at re-enactment.

Our own church is planning a screening of the film on the weekend it’s released, taking over screen 1 of our local cinema, so I’m looking forward to seeing it then - I loved the books as a child and still do!
