Arise, Shine Rwanda | ||

album features 12 new African language children’s worship songs
on the themes of healing, joy, and new hope for the future, sung by
60 Rwandese children with accompanying adult harmonies. This album is
arranged in a typically modern-day Rwandese cultural style with guitars
and synths, but with more traditional percussion instruments replacing
a drum kit.
The songs were written specifically for children by Rwandese Christians who attended a worship songwriters workshop held in Byumba, Rwanda, in June 2002. Many of the songwriters are the same young worship leaders who contributed to our first Rwandese album, (Mana, kiza u Rwanda!) and are both hutu and tutsi, drawn from many denominational backgrounds and from across the ethnic divide.
